"I took the melody from that old time song that was written about the battleship of Maine and I put it to the Gulf war because of what's called WMDs, and you remember what WMDs are. And I had kind of retired this song, these weapons of mass destruction. You know, I thought, that's the trouble with these topical songs, they wear out. You get a good one, sing it a few times and it's toast. But anyway, when this stuff was in the news a while back, about how they're trying to get a good war going with Iran, I thought, maybe the WMD song isn't quite worn out yet..." ~ Bill Jolliff
