ProRes RAW in DaVinci Resolve, it's finally happened. With the latest 20.2 update to DaVinci Resolve we now have the support for native decoding of the Apple ProRes RAW codec.

This news was probably on the cards as soon as we found out from the recent September 9 Apple Event that the new iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max are going to be able to record in ProRes RAW. With the Blackmagic Camera app being one of the first two apps to be ProRes RAW compatible.

So with the Blackmagic Camera app being updated to be able to record ProRes RAW, I supposed you wouldn't have had to be a rocket scientist to guess that Blackmagic would follow suit soon with ProRes RAW compatibility for DaVinci Resolve, which they did.

Here's the download page on the Blackmagic website for updating and downloading DaVinci Resolve in both the free and Studio variations.
