I haven't made a pre-code video in a while, so here's a tribute to Mae Clarke (August 16, 1910 – April 29, 1992), an actress who is underrated and not as well-remembered as she should be. During the pre-code era, she was at the peak of her career, but by the end of the decade, her roles had either become smaller, or the films became of lesser quality. She continued to work in film, and later television until 1970, although she later played uncredited roles in movies. The song is "Heartaches" performed by Al Bowlly, recorded in 1931.
