Man, this is the tightest i've ever gotten at a game on video...
This one was mostly decided on the first turn, with Amitss doing a 2-build up north and nobody else going near him. JVis instead opted to build next to me down south, which about crippled both of us. This was further compounded when Amitss won the 25 for a pretty good price (considering the 20 wouldn't be seen until Step 3).
Nonetheless, i managed to crawl back into a decent-ish position. In fact i may have been able to win had Amit gotten blocked from the yellow "twin" cities and that surrounding area. Attack the leader, JVis! ;)
In retrospect i should've bid a lot more for the 30 since 38 wasn't in the game, and also bid more for the 46. Got bid up really high on the 36 by someone who didn't need it at all, while Amit grabbed the 39 at cost in a bad Step 3 market. These are the sorts of things that happen with less experienced players involved, so you have to put yourself in a position to take advantage of that.
