After long hesitation I have finally done it!
Just sent in my submission to be on the local fair in June with my woodworking products.
Apart from selling items I will also try to promote my hobby and maybe score some free wood.
You never know what people may have in their backyard.
From past experience I alrteady know that bowls are hard to sell, especally if you have only bowls it is going to be wasted time. People want to see something different.
So I have planned a production run for making a few wooden Owls, very cute ones and I will have a couple of lidded pots on display and of course Gnomes. In this live I turned the first one that's intended to go on sale.
It was an hour's work to make the body on the lathe, the time spent to prepare the blanks is not included and then I still need to make the nose and attach a beard. So one Gnome is easily one and a half to two hours of work and I do not think I can ask more than 10$ or 10Euro. Woodturners are doomed to stay poor!
