This video is not about a project but about a tool I made. Not much footage about how I made it; its basically a long handle with a hole to hold the tool. This video is more about what I can do with it. The tool is not yet perfect but already very helpful for deep hollowing. With deep hollowing I mean everything over approximately four inches (10cm) where the depth is larger than the width. I do a lot of that, for example when I make Flowerpots for the Bosslady. You have to reach in with your tool and the handle is always too short to compensate for the overhang.
This tool is about as long as a person can handle; I don't think there's a point in making it any longer because then you would be gripping too far away from the toolrest. This tool is a viable alternative for using a home-made or shop-bought ($$) hollowing rig.
Let me know what you think!
