KULT News went to Providence, Rhode Island and visited City Hall from top to bottom (literally) and then walked around downtown.
As always, multiple people called the cops on us but would the responding officers recognize and respect our right to record in public or would they disappoint us as so many have before them?

Laws may vary but, generally speaking, in the United States, if you are in public you are legally able to photograph whatever you can see. Simply put, your eyes can’t be trespassed. Obviously there are some restrictions on this (i.e., bathrooms, dressing rooms, most courtrooms, locker rooms, etc.) but very few when you are in public. If you can see it, you can shoot it (this rule only applies to cameras.) This is not legal advice.
