After Rosa defeats Hugh in their second battle, they are greeted by the owner of the Floccesy Ranch and his wife. The two mention that one of their Herdier has gone missing, which sets off Hugh, who is quick to bring up the possibility of this Pokémon being gone forever. Nonetheless, he and Rosa are sent to look around. As they navigate their way around the ranch, the latter hears the Pokémon's cry and spots the other Herdier being cornered by a dubious individual, who claims to be part of Team Plasma, the organization that was supposed to have been dismantled two years ago, when Hilbert defeated Ghetsis! He then takes out his Frustration (TM) on the girl before promptly making his exit. With the Pokémon found, the ranch's owner is grateful, but his demeanor causes Hugh to snap again, saying that he should take better care of the Pokémon.
