After defeating Shelly, Brendan hears from a Grunt that Team Magma passed by, appearing to be headed for Mt. Pyre. This prompts the Admin to round up her underlings and flee the scene. As thanks for defeating Shelly, the head of the Weather Institute gives Brendan a Castform, which is the Pokémon that Team Aqua tried to steal before. By the time he leaves the Institute, the rain appears to have stopped. That aside, the boy continues toward Fortree City, but is stopped by May, who challenges him to another battle!
May:
Brendan's neighbor appears to have been worried about him and challenges him to a battle to see if he isn't struggling in his training.
Swablu:
This Pokémon appears to be a recent catch. It knows Sing, Fury Attack, Safeguard, and Mist.
Spoink:
Another recent addition to May's overall lineup. This Pokémon is capable of using Psybeam, Psych Up, Confuse Ray, and Magic Coat.
Breloom:
Shroomish looks to have evolved since last time. It's also gained a new type, which makes it adept with moves like Mega Drain, Headbutt, Mach Punch, and Counter.
Marshtomp:
The Mud Fish Pokémon looks to be tougher than before. It can use Bide, Mud Shot, Foresight, and Mud Sport.
Combusken:
May's other first partner Pokémon is still a fast force to be reckoned with, with Double Kick, Peck, Sand-Attack, and Bulk Up in its arsenal.
