Pac-Man has wound up in a world that appears to be darker than his beloved Pac-Village, having traveled through a portal that opened up beneath the Golden Fruit Tree! The village in this area is only home to a lone Pac-Wizard, who is seen working on some magic involving a batch of fruit, akin to the Pac-Wizard told of in the story that Professor Pac had shown off back at the Pac-Village. There don't appear to be any leads regarding his kids, Pac-Boy and Pac-Sis, in the village, so Pac-Man is left to investigate all by himself. As he travels, he arrives at a clearing in Poison Meadows, where he hears a familiar laugh... It is revealed to belong to none other than Spooky, who doesn't appear to recognize Pac-Man, but mentions having seen some 'oddball kids' before declaring that Pac-Land is his kingdom. Pac-Man asks what he has done to them, to which the malevolent specter replies by saying he has put them somewhere 'nice and cozy', and that he'll even have Pac-Man thrown in there with them! To this end, he has a ghostly reinforcement do battle with the apparent interloper...!
Poisonous Killer Frog:
A rogue Ghost appears, piloting a Killer Frog mecha very similar to the one that Clyde used when Spooky was released from his imprisonment! This robot has virtually identical moves to the original Killer Frog, but this one has the ability to spew poisonous blobs as well! These blobs come in two sizes and patterns. Big ones are fired where Pac-Man is standing, while little ones are fired upwards, and in bigger volume. Its tongue attacks are also enhanced, with the half-circle attack being used twice, and the trap attack having a smaller window of opening to strike back. In addition to this, its jump attacks create a puddle of poison underneath it as well! Upon taking three hits, the Poisonous Killer Frog's tongue is reinforced, much like that of the original Killer Frog, making it impossible to damage it with Butt-Bounces, meaning that Pac-Man has to wait for it to use its tongue slam attack (which also has it fire additional blobs of poison) before Rev Rolling at its core three more times to claim victory.
