After defeating the Team Aqua Grunt in the Rusturf Tunnel and retrieving both the Devon Goods and the Wingull known as Peeko, Brendan is invited by the researcher to the corporation's 3rd floor, where he meets the president, Mr. Stone, who gives him a Pokémon Navigator, or, PokéNav for short, and tasks him with two things: delivering the parcel that Team Aqua tried to steal to Captain Stern in Slateport City, and delivering a letter to his son, Steven.
