*Final Rating: 7/10 - Attempted to fix the sluggish nature of the game but the fix was inconsistent, loses 3 points for execution. The game's difficulty is excellent and highly enjoyable. Pokemon moves and learn sets have been updated to perfection. Moves/TM's were no longer an issue but Team Furret was still tested through out the entire game. If you love Platinum and thought it was too easy, this is for you. It's worth your time.

Having never played any of the Pokemon games past generation 3, I now understand where ROM hackers get their influences from - Diamond, Pearl & Platinum. Much of this game's content and events appear/were recreated in other ROM hacks, like Pokemon Unbound albeit that was a much chattier attempt at replicating this. I've always heard many positive things about Sinnoh to the point of ad nauseam. While there were some things I enjoyed about the region, there many more things I did not. One very annoying detail was having the player go and find the Gym leaders in random areas just so that they can go back to their gyms. This was just a chore on a game that already moves slower than snails on skates. Again, having never played it during its initial release, it baffles me that after 4 generations of Pokemon up until this point, the games moved even slower than the previous games some 3 generations prior. This ruined the experience for me, just like it ruined Storm Silver.

Much of the dialogue in this game, especially from Team Galactic, felt like something you'd find in a terrible 2010 ROM hack that was trying to be edgy. Again, I can clearly see where ROM hack creators got their influences from but for an official Pokemon game, it's laughably terrible and quite embarrassing. I also didn't find Cynthia very challenging..... (I will be buried for saying this. I'm sure of it.)

This is a long one and I did my best to trim out all of the unnecessary parts to focus on the action. Gen 4 is watch snails race against each other in terms of movement & speed.....
