This is an improvement/remake of the original Theta Emerald Rom hack. This ROM hack further expands upon the original by adding more moves, increased difficulty, more Pokemon, abilities and Mega Evolutions. This Elite 4 challenge is superior to the one in Theta Emerald and was a lot of fun.
Although it is an improvement over the previous game, this version or at least, the version I played/patched, contains many glitches and bugs (see below)
. Some of the newer moves post Generation 3 have no animations.
. The Pokémon cries are bugged and don't sound right.
. Some TM's, specifically the TM's that can be purchased at Mauville City, contain the wrong moves and disappear after one usage when they are supposed to be muti-use items.
. The TM for Grow Punch for example, teaches Fire Punch instead. Some TM's also don't work and cannot be taught to Pokémon that are supposed to be able to learn the move
. Staying this topic: the elemental punches are not supposed to be TM moves but I was able to get them as TM moves due to the TM's being bugged. This only happened with TM's that were added into the hack and TM's that give the player a move from Gen 4 and onward.
. Some moves cause the game to crash, like Bulldoze, if it is used on an Electric type. This happened to me 4 times. This is bad as Bulldoze is available quite early in the game.
. Some double battles freeze the game. An example is the first double battle at Victory Road. This battle is easily avoidable as it is possible to battle both trainers separately since they are separated by enough space that allows you to talk to the trainer located to the south first without alerting the trainer above.
. Furret was able to learn Aerial Ace even though it shouldn't. This caused the game to crash when I used the move in battle.
. Aegislash is bugged. When you defeat one, a glitched sprite appears afterwards in the middle half of the screen (this glitch can be seen in the video)
