JP: ほんじつのきゃー Today’s "Oh My Gosh". Unlocked after regaining control in Chapter 13.
Sunflora pls
Like Bidoof, Sunflora has a journal she updates after certain story events: bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Sunflora_(Explorers_of_Time,_Darkness,_and_Sky)#Diary
• (1:08) Named after Sunflora’s catchphrase in both languages. きゃー is onomatopoeia for a high-pitched squeal or shout, like what you’d hear from a stereotypically overemotional teenage girl (eg. "eek!"). This episode takes place during chapter 5 and is based on her fifth diary entry.
• (3:15) They actually made a sprite for that…seriously, the spritework for this game is quite impressive.
• (4:31) Not only are there no Fire-types in Spring Cave, but as a Ground/Rock-dominated dungeon, there’s plenty of stuff there weak to Grass. That said, you’re exploring solo and even neutral moves can hurt, so be cautious (but that goes without saying).
• (5:57–6:06) You made that mistake when you were a kid too, don’t lie!
• (10:03) げんせんのどうくつ Source Cave, as it’s the source of the hot springs. Also, Magma Cavern theme!
• (10:09) Sunflora’s moveset changes with each playthrough, and she can’t forget Razor Leaf due to being used in a cutscene later on.
• (16:48) Classic tsundere (character archetype that flips between harsh and sweet personality-wise, especially towards a love interest), complete with "…it’s not like I’m here to help you or anything!" paper-thin excuse. Seriously, you can practically smell the sexual tension between them!
• (19:55) yfw you spawn in a Monster House …I don’t have time for this shit!
• (25:09) That message isn’t for show; it actually is sent to your main game storage!

![Final Fantasy VI [PC] - Earth Eater
The Cloister bosses respawn if you fall back in, so most of them have gimmicks that make them easily beatable (the preferred path is Earth Eater - Malboro Menace - Dark Behemoth). This one only uses physical attacks, so summon Phantom for an easy win. Final Fantasy VI [PC] - Earth Eater](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/orH1FuUK1Z4/mqdefault.jpg)
![Final Fantasy VI [PC] - Leviathan
Hot garbage generator
Very last chance to get Mogs Water Harmony in the GBA version, if you didnt do so in the World of Balance.
Leviathans opening attack (だいかいしょう, also one of Stragos Lores) refers to a tidal bore (a wave caused by the tides), but is frequently used synonymously with つなみ (tsunami, a wave caused by a large and sudden displacement of water). Im also curious as to when tsunami became common usage in English…maybe around the 2004 Boxing Day earthquake? Final Fantasy VI [PC] - Leviathan](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/pKXVXfZmb0s/mqdefault.jpg)

Looks like the eastern suburbs tbh. Final Fantasy VI [PC] - Chadarnook](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/pOfBKd2FiTY/mqdefault.jpg)
![Final Fantasy VI [PC] - Behemoth King
In the SNES version, you had to defeat this boss properly (ie. both living and undead forms, rather than just Vanish/Banishing the living form) to get it to appear on the Veldt. As far as I can tell, this was fixed in the GBA version by tweaking this formation and fixing said Vanish bug. ![Final Fantasy V [PC] (LLG 2/1/1/4) - Exdeath #2 & Neo Exdeath
So wait, the armoured humanoid isnt humanoid-type, but the tree is? (And yes, I know you can see his armoured form at the top, but most peoples eyes are drawn to the tree-face.) Neo is a haphazard fusion of creatures cast into the Void, so all the differing properties _there_ are understandable.
There are few problems in this game that cant be solved with enough money. (Well, there _are_ the superbosses.) Of course, you shouldnt feel any shame for using an option the designers explicitly provide.
It plays the main theme if you enter the fight directly from the cutscene instead. Final Fantasy V [PC] (LLG 2/1/1/4) - Exdeath #2 & Neo Exdeath](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/rJqsw49EfuM/mqdefault.jpg)
![Final Fantasy VI [PC] - Number 128
Not like I was going to use Cyan anyway…
The mine cart ride is notorious among low-level players, being one of two (?) sequences with unavoidable experience gain, and having to juggle with the RNG to minimise such (you can manipulate this in the SNES version, but Im not aware of any similar strat in GBA-onward). GBA players wont have to worry about the Kazekiri quite as much, since Number 128 can be fought again in the Soul Shrine. ![Final Fantasy V [PC] (LLG 2/1/1/4) - Atomos
You _will_ want that Gold Hairpin from the 9F monster-in-a-box; catch whatever appears to prevent EXP gain. Yellow Dragons Lightning (and similar fractional attacks) isnt as useful in this version since they arent auto-hit anymore; I dont know if Pixel Remaster has that issue.
Dark Spark is a 23% chance to land, so this methodll take several tries. (Can increase level and therefore hit rate with Samsons Might mix.) Final Fantasy V [PC] (LLG 2/1/1/4) - Atomos](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/sNMAdZNKiTk/mqdefault.jpg)
![Final Fantasy VI [PC] - Red Dragon #2
You can safely wait out the expiration timer (100 ticks, or just under 2 minutes, from battles start) in-between Quick turns. Otherwise you have to survive its onslaught of powerful fire spells and physical attacks (and its instant death special), since its completely invincible (barring extreme luck with Setzers slots).
