In this Guayaki Yerba Mate vs. Playadito Yerba Mate Review, I show you my special way of preparing yerba mate with both of these mate brands. I also taste and smell test these yerba mate teas and give you my opinion of the taste and which yerba mate I prefer.
If you're wondering what the best yerba mate of these two is, it's tough to call. I personally like the Guayaki Yerba Mate a little better, but I did enjoy the Playadito Yerba Mate a lot. Two of my kids also tasted these two yerba mates, and one of them liked the Playadito better, while the other preferred the Guayaki.
Both Playadito and Guayaki yerba mate are unsmoked, but only Guayaki is certified organic yerba mate. I'd love to know if the Playdito is grown to organic or better standards, but I wasn't able to find that information as of the time I'm writing this.
I didn't know about Playadito yerba mate until very recently, but apparently a lot of people like it. It currently has a 4.6-star rating on Amazon based on a pretty good number of reviews. The Guayaki Yerba Mate only has 4.2 stars on Amazon, but I think that has a lot to do with the price.
