Planeswalkers in Pauper, whether you like them or not, they're here, due to a brand new card from Reality Fracture: Protege's Awakening. For three and a blue, you have a sorcery with Empower 6, which is you put six loyalty counters on a Jace planeswalker token you control. If you don't own a Jace planeswalker token, you make one. And then that token has minus one, Surveil 1; minus three, draw a card. And then Protege's Awakening draws a card. A lot of people are saying, well, at least this has no way of, you know, gaining loyalty. It's not necessarily true. In Pauper, you have Proliferate out of the Pauper Poison Storm deck that can actually put quite a few counters on this Jace planeswalker. And then we just saw a new card previewed today, which is Way of the Pyromancer, which is not Pauper-legal. But this is showing ways that you could add loyalty to those tokens, and there could be one this set, or even down the road, that allows your planeswalkers to gain plus abilities in Pauper. So we don't know if it's coming or not at this time, but this card is really powerful. I'm probably going to at least try it in Poison Storm. It might not be good enough. A lot of people have strong opinions on planeswalkers entering Pauper. What do you think?
