This video presents the PISCES Cable System, a project co-funded under the EU’s Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) Digital programme to prepare the ground for a strategic subsea connectivity link between Ireland and mainland Europe. The project supports the development of a planned 2,800 km cable running from the west coast of Ireland to Portugal, with branching connectivity to France and Spain, addressing the current lack of direct connectivity routes and strengthening resilience along Europe’s western Atlantic seaboard.

This video is part of the European Broadband Competence Offices Network’s programme promoting awareness of good practices in broadband projects and EU digital connectivity initiatives.
