The European Digital Skills Awards 2026, celebrated during the Digital Skills EU Days in Brussels, recognised inspiring initiatives that are helping people across Europe develop the digital skills needed for the future.
We had a conversation with Generation AI, winner of the Digital Skills for Education category, to learn how they are helping children and young people understand artificial intelligence and its impact on everyday life. Through free and open educational resources, classroom activities and teacher support, Generation AI makes AI understandable without requiring programming skills, empowering learners to make informed choices in an increasingly digital world.
