In this challenge, all I can use is the control stick and the A-button. This means no whistling, no switching captains, no disbanding, no napsack, no sprays, no C-stick, no camera, and no pausing.

For the rest of this day, I'll be collecting the other aboveground treasures and destroying the poison wall, then I will complete Subterranean Complex. The ring is easy to collect, since 5 whites can carry it past the Snagret guarding it. The crown is easy to collect, since I put it by the poison wall previously. Fossilized Ursidae is easy to collect, since I can throw 3 purples up there. However, Temporal Mechanism isn't as easy.
Sure, I could punch the fiery bulblax to death with Louie, but this would take too long. So I throw my blues to the side, and I lead the fiery bulblax right next to them where the blues can attack all at once. With a bit of luck, none will get eaten in the process.
Now, I enter Subterranean Complex with 22 reds, 52 purples and 10 whites. The biggest obstacle in this cave is, well, bombs. Since I don't have much control of my Pikmin, it's real easy to have a bomb explode a Pikmin that I can't save, so being slow and strategic is necessary.
Sublevel 2 is the first level with bombs. The Careening Dirigibugs go down easily when a purple attacks one (as long as it hasn't dropped a bomb underneath it), but if they are in a group, they are much more difficult. If one bug drops a bomb on another that a purple is attacking, there's no way that I can save the purple. So I need to separate the bugs from each other if possible.
Sublevel 5 is the next sublevel with bombs. The biggest problem here is that Volatile Dweevils drop from the sky when I start carrying a treasure. So I need to use whites to make sure that they can outrun them and any other bombs that drop from the sky.
Sublevel 6 is a bit of a mess. Taking out a Careening Dirigibug in the midst of Anode Beetles is very risky. At one point, I took a chance and had whites carry one of the treasures past these enemies. In sublevel 7, I have Gatling Groinks to deal with, which aren't too bad, as I demonstrate in the video. There are also more bombs; once again, I had to be careful for volatile dweevils. If a Pikmin attacks a volatile dweevil, it will surely die.
Lastly, I fight Man-At-Legs. To the best of my knowledge, even with infinite purples, I can't kill this boss before it attacks. Without the C-stick, I just can't throw Pikmin quick enough. Instead, I attack with a small group of purples, and when the boss shakes, they get flung far away. Then, I can stand in front of it, which seems to always make it attack me instead of any of my Pikmin.
Some of you may be surprised that Man-at-Legs has a frontside. In fact, all of the spider bosses have a front. You'll notice that they only go forward when their bodies are facing the right direction, e.g. if they want to go back to their spawn, they have to turn 180 degrees. On Man-at-Legs, the front side has a little bit of glowing orange on it, next to the side that has the most glowing orange. Also, you'll notice that when I don't stand directly in front of it, the gun starts to aim toward its front before it aims at me.
