Grassdigger | Pikmin Wii: Positron Generator on Day 2 @grassdigger8695 | Uploaded November 2016 | Updated October 2024, 2 hours ago.
Sorry about the offset view of the TV screen! It's hard to tell when the rim of your display on the camera is also black, ya know?
I am not the first person to upload a video of this being done: youtube.com/watch?v=sKqqbG2fM9g
Also, TRR010 is the original founder of this trick: youtube.com/watch?v=cB2E8pCVqco
I was a bit sloppy at the beginning, but it turned out fine. Hopefully this will be part of a 50 Pikmin 8 day completion playlist in the future.
Tip: When pushing the Positron Generator, try to only go down and up on the joystick (unless you need to adjust your angle), then just find a rhythm.
As for getting the Positron Generator to spawn on dry land, I'm still not sure why that happens. Of the 3 times I've gotten it, at least 2 out of the 3 were when I was rushing to get it done. It seems like it spawns just to the left of Olimar when it hits the dirt wall, which pushes it through the ground and on top of dry land.
Fun fact: the first time I got the Positron Generator onto dry land (a couple years ago when I did a 6 day completion without recording it) I had lost a Pikmin previously to the Pearly Clamclamp. The second time I did it (recently) the day ended with the Postitron Generator right next to the ship :(
