Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival brings you "Meet the filmmakers" episode “Invisibles”. Interview with the director Junna Chif, interviewer Nikolaj Nikitin.

“I think it’s good in a film when people have a very deep sentiment or feeling about a subject because that brings to discussions and maybe opens your mind a bit more,” says Junna Chif.

Director and writer Junna Chif states about her highly impressive work: “With “Invisibles” I chose to approach the film by attempting to avoid victimisation through the perspective of a woman who decides to engage in sex work. My characters do not need to be saved; they need to be seen.” She says, “I make films for the public, and hope they will be touched and moved. Being selected by festivals and honoured with awards is extremely validating and proves to me that I am on the right track; for that I am deeply grateful. It gives me the drive to move forward with my work.” “Invisibles” is a brilliant combination of drama and comedy and needs to be seen on the big screen where it belongs.

“Ma arvan, et filmis on hea, kui inimestel tekib mõne teema suhtes väga sügav tunne või tundmus, sest see viib aruteludeni ja ehk avardab sinu meelt natuke rohkem,” väidab Junna Chif.

Minu tegelased ei vaja päästmist, neil on vaja, et neid nähtaks.” Ta märgib: „Ma teen filme publikule ja loodan, et see puudutab ja liigutab neid. Festivalide poolt valitud ja auhindadega tunnustatud film on äärmiselt innustav ja tõestab mulle, et olen õigel teel; selle eest olen sügavalt tänulik. See annab mulle hoogu oma tööga edasi liikuda. „Nähtamatud“ ühendab geniaalselt draama ja komöödia ning lausa nõuab vaatamist suurelt ekraanilt.
