Finnish director Elin Grönblom arrives at PÖFF with the warm and heartfelt family film “Ella & Friends - Operation Otter”, based on the beloved children’s book series. This time, Ella and her classmates head to a forest camp that unexpectedly turns into a real rescue mission: they discover an otter family whose home is in serious danger. The children must work together to find a solution that protects both the animals and the nature around them.
Grönblom, who studied film in Helsinki and New York, is a director and screenwriter known for her playful style and warm sense of humor. She has said about herself: “I want to be challenged; I need to write and direct. I crave creative work and I love meeting new collaborators.”

Seekord satub Ella koos oma klassikaaslastega metsalaagrisse, mis kujuneb ootamatult tõeliseks päästeoperatsiooniks: järvest leitakse saarmapere, kelle kodu on tõsises ohus. Lapsed ühendavad jõud, et leida lahendus, mis kaitseks nii loomi kui loodust nende ümber.
Grönblom on Helsingis ja New Yorgis filmikunsti õppinud režissöör ja stsenarist, kelle loomingut iseloomustavad mängulisus ja soe huumor.
