Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival brings you "Meet the Filmmakers" episode “ Interior”

Pascal Schuh’s bold debut “Interior” follows Kasimir, a burglar who breaks into homes using a specially designed couch with a hidden compartment. The film is a unsettling exploration of voyeurism, vulnerability, and the blurry boundaries between empathy and exploitation. With its precise visual style and eerie atmosphere, “Interior” lures viewers into a tense psychological dance where tenderness and danger are never far apart.
Pascal Schuh began studying film and television directing at the Film University Babelsberg Konrad Wolf in Potsdam. His bachelor‘s degree film “Auf Platte” (“Songs of a Caretaker”, 2021) was a finalist for the Student Academy Awards selection.
Shot in 2023 around Berlin and Potsdam, the film first appeared as a work in progress at last year’s Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival and is now ready for its festival journey.

Film on kõhedust tekitav rännak haavatavuse ning empaatia häguste piiride kompamises. Täpne visuaalne stiil ja õhustikuline pingestatus tõmbavad vaataja psühholoogilisse tantsu, kus õrnus ja oht käivad käsikäes.
Pascal Schuh alustas filmi ja televisioonirežii õpinguid Filmülikoolis Babelsberg Konrad Wolf Potsdamis. Tema bakalaureusetöö “Auf Platte” (“Songs of a Caretaker”, 2021) jõudis Student Academy Awardsi finalistide sekka.
“Interjöör” filmiti 2023. aastal Berliini ja Potsdami ümbruses ning seda esitleti esmalt tööprotsessi faasis eelmise aasta PÖFFil. Nüüd on film valmis alustama oma festivaliringi.
