Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival presents to you “Meet the Filmmakers”.
This episode features the film “Vache Folle” and its directors Hugo Diego Garcia and Lorenzo Bentivoglio, in conversation with Milani Perera.

“Vache Folle” tells the story of Cédric, who lives as a refugee in the mountains, worn down by war and abandoned by the very system that shaped him. His daughter and ex-wife have become estranged from him and now live with the woman’s hostile new partner. Longing for the connection, dignity and love he once had, Cédric slowly falls into a spiral of despair and resistance. Despite the small budget and the directors’ limited formal knowledge of filmmaking, this is an emotionally powerful, film noir style debut about a societal underdog who is at war both with the world around him and with himself.
Hugo Diego Garcia is a French-Spanish actor and director. In addition to his work in film, he has studied law and pursued boxing. He acted in Coralie Fargeat’s hit film “The Procedure” last year. “Vache Folle” is his first feature-length film, and besides co-directing, he also serves as the film’s producer, screenwriter and lead actor.
Lorenzo Bentivoglio is a French-Italian actor and filmmaker. He began his acting career in Hugo Diego Garcia’s short films “Tony” (2018) and “Cagnolino” (2019). Along with being the co-director of “Vache Folle”, Bentivoglio also works on the film as producer, cinematographer and actor.

Lorenzo Bentivoglio on Prantsuse-Itaalia näitleja ja filmitegija. Oma näitlejateed alustas ta Hugo Diego Garcia lühifilmides “Tony” (2018) ja “Cagnolino” (2019). Lisaks sellele, et Bentivoglio on filmi “Hull lehm” kaasrežissöör, tegutseb ta linateoses produtsendi, operaatori ja näitlejana.
