If I told you to do 1 style of exercise for the rest of your life, 99% of you would tell me I'm an idiot. And you'd be right.
So why do we think we should do this with our nutrition? It doesn't make sense.
Enter the concept of "periodized nutrition". This covers a theoretical model for how to alter your fat, carbohydrate, and protein intake during different phases of the year and with a variety of outcome goals (fat loss, maximal performance, muscle gain, etc.).
