Day 3
I finally found the pendant. It was guarded by living statues known as armos. Except these were more powerful than the armos I had seen before. The only way to beat them was through a small weak spot in their armor. I had to hit each one with an arrow.
The pendant is brimming with power. When I put it on, something came over me. I felt braver and stronger! It was as if all of my fatigue had disappeared. I went back to Sahasrahla and showed him the pendant. Sahasrahla told me that I need to find two other Pendants of Virtue, then I must take them to the Lost Woods and use them to guide me to the Master Sword.
Sahasrahla can't go back to Kakariko Village until the soldiers leave. He gave me a pair of boots to help me run faster. It's an old treasure of the Seven Sages. Sahasrahla told me that the Pendant of Wisdom was in the Desert Palace while the Pendant of Power was in the Tower of Hera atop Death Mountain.
I thanked Sahasrahla and set off. I'm worried about him, but he's remained hidden for this long. He'll be safe. Sahasrahla also told me to find a hidden treasure near Lake Hylia. I went over there and discovered a mysterious cave that was made entirely out of ice. Inside was a treasure called the Ice Rod. This might come in handy.
I stopped at Kakariko Village to find out about the Desert Palace. While I knew a lot about Hyrule's history, I didn't know everything. All I found on the Desert Palace was that it was sealed and there was no known way to open it. All that was there was a stone slab that was unreadable.
The old librarian, Ava, was reading over my shoulder and pointed out that the script on the stone slab was ancient Hylian. She led me to a book called the Book of Mudora that could translate ancient Hylian. She's letting me keep the book for my quest.
I'm setting off for the desert tomorrow.
