Peleliu Tour Hills 200 and 210
The fighting on Peleliu would become some of the most brutal combat of World War II. The Japanese defenders were deeply entrenched in fortified positions throughout the Umurbrogol ridges—later known as Bloody Nose Ridge. These strongholds were pounded during the pre-invasion bombardment and again after the landings by artillery, tanks, and aircraft, yet many of the positions proved incredibly difficult to eliminate.
In this video, we’re going to explore the area around Hills 200 and 210 and examine what remains on those ridges from the battle of Peleliu.
