How do you visually connect the 2D backdrop to the 3D Layout? This week Karyn and I are blending the collage and earth on the layout into the backdrop art.

We are using several fun tricks. Using Sculptamold to form earth and mud forms into the backdrop and adding grasses and brush to hide the seam. And we are using matching paint to paint the 3D scenery to match the backdrop.

We also needed to touchup the cinders by gluing any loose areas and adding wheel ruts and tire-worn areas near the roundhouse.
