Computer design makes laying out your track plan and building the roadbed and benchwork easy. It's an amazing system for designing and building your model railroad.

We are using 3rd PlanIt software to layout complex track plans including completed helix systems. And looking over several systems for using your CAD plans to transfer the plans to your benchwork and build a roadbed.

3rd PlanIt offers a unique system to triangulate points from your CAD design to exact locations on your benchwork. But the most interesting system uses a CNC flatbed router to cut out a track template or even a roadbed.
