Archery Elk Hunting season is right around the corner and in this archery gear video I'll go over out 2022 bow hunting setup. As always, I'll be shooting a hand made wooden self bow. This one is a fire hardened hickory longbow that I made this past winter. The draw weight is 63lbs at 29". My elk hunting arrows are tail tapered Doug fir shafts from Surewoodshafts.com, with a white crown dip and pink fletchings to make them easier to see in flight. The quiver is from creekwalkertrading.com. Broadheads are 190 grain meatheads, single bevel cut on contact, and razor sharp. Liz is shooting a new compound bow, a Mathew's Prima, drawing 40lbs at 26". She's shooting VAP arrows with Grizzly Broadheads up front.
