About this video: OptiFine is one of the most popular Minecraft mods ever made, and in this video, we show you exactly how to download and install the OptiFine 26.2 alternative modpack NotiFine. We also show you how to see what mods you need to install in order to get all of OptiFine's features in 26.2 using mods like Sodium, Iris Shaders, Zoomify, and even random textures. If you are after one specific OptiFine feature, you can find those individual mods linked in the description above as well.
To find the OptiFine 26.2 alternative mods, you can look up "NotiFine CurseForge" or go to the link in the description. Once you are there, click on "Files" and select the 26.2 NotiFine version. Finally, click on "Related Projects," and you will be able to see all of the mods that make up NotiFine. These mods are used to add all of OptiFine's features without using OptiFine. There are some performance mods as well that in turn actually make NotiFine perform better than OptiFine in many cases.
If you don't want to have to download and install all of these mods, you can use the NotiFine modpack. To do this, you will need to get the CurseForge App. There is a link to download it in the description above. With it downloaded, install it just like any other program.
Once you have it setup, select "Minecraft" and confirm your Minecraft settings. You will then land on a "My Modpacks" tab. At the top, there is a search bar. In that search bar, type "NotiFine." The NotiFine modpack will appear. Click the "Install" button on it, and it will install for Minecraft 26.2!
Once it is finished, a play button will appear. NotiFine will launch.
From here, we would recommend going to "Options" and "Video Settings" and configuring this how you would like. For example, you can enable shaders by clicking "Shader Packs" at the top and selecting one. You can also adjust your other video settings, add texture packs, and make things your own.
With that, you should now have all of OptiFine's features in 26.2 without having to worry about OptiFine updating, and you may even be getting better FPS.
