This is a song I covered for server on Discord. The server is based around the SN76489 chip, mainly Sega's clone found in the Master System. However, the server admin did allow folks to cover any song they like using any variant of the SN76489 chip. Some time ago, Game Gear support was added in Furnace, thereby obsoleting SnevenTracker (which had its last update in December 2016), though stereo panning isn't heard in VGM exports (which tildearrow, the creator of Furnace, will address soon). I chose this song to cover. I decided to cover it as how you'd hear it in a typical Game Gear game (no arps, square bass, no noise pulse), and the song translates well to the frequency limits of the chip. I do use a lot of stereo panning here as I do my recent songs, which is probably something I haven't done in any of my Game Gear songs (my last one from 2019 only uses it for a background instrument).
Original song by: Kenny Chou. Thanks for watching.
