Obsession movie analysis: the danger of unintentional harm.
In this video I talk about the Obsession 2026 movie, more specfically analysis the character of Bear. Because Bear is a polarising character where some people think he did nothing wrong while others see him as a horrible person and villain. In this video I try to provide a middle ground to that, an option where both Bear and Nikki are both victims of Bear's actions.
When analysis Obsession, I focus primarily on Bear's character, whether he actually loves Nikki, Limerance, selfishness, consent and autonomy and how Bear largely brought harm to Nikki's life.
I think that Obsession is one of the best films I have seen in the recent years and I've been particularly impressed with Inde Naverrette performance as Nikki. I also find Obsession to be a great additional to the genre that is psychological horror.
My name is Alexander L and on this channel I talk about everything from philosophy and politics to films, video games and mental health.
