Tom MacDonald released his new single "Superman" recently and here are some of my thoughts on superheroes and uncertain times. The superhero genre originated in the 1930s, shortly before the World War 2 and found a lot of popularity in the post-war society that still felt the effects of the second world war. The character of Captain America is pretty much a result of the war. The very fact that the superheroes genre has gained so much popularity and Captain America was resurrected on the big screen was always a warning sign of more uncertain times and wars. Perhaps the more and more possible potentiality of World War 3.
