I can't count how many times I heard people say that centrists are fence sitters, cowards and undecided. I think it stems from a very binary polotical thinking, present in American politics, that sees politics in terms of two opposite positions. Many of us don't conform to that binary. This goes not just for centrists but also anarchism and many other political ideologies that don't conform to team A or team B.
