After Gordon returned from London, the Fat Controller decided to give him a rest and let James take the express for him. Meanwhile, Toby was sent to the works to have his worn parts mended. It was a long journey and he would have to take frequent water breaks due to his small water tank. But thanks to a new signalman, he ran out and guess who has to rescue him.

During the October Long Weekend, Transport Heritage NSW had once again held the annual Transport Heritage Expo at Sydney Central. See 3526 and 3265 on shuttle runs to Hurstville and back, a ride on CPH Railmotor 1, 3 & 7 to the Botany goods line which runs next to the Sydney Airport, a rarity for passenger trains. See some of the displays such as an NR class diesel locomotive from Pacific National, the first electric train set to use double deck carriages as well as some vintage buses including double deckers from London, England!
