For many years a man going by the name of Roy Yorker had been looking after the signals at Toryreck and is very popular to the engines on Thomas' branch line. But recently, his eye sight wasn't doing very well. He could make out the engines, except for one as he thought he was a runaway van!

During the October Long Weekend, Transport Heritage NSW had once again held the annual Transport Heritage Expo at Sydney Central. See 3526 and 3265 on shuttle runs to Hurstville and back, a ride on CPH Railmotor 1, 3 & 7 to the Botany goods line which runs next to the Sydney Airport, a rarity for passenger trains. See some of the displays such as an NR class diesel locomotive from Pacific National, the first electric train set to use double deck carriages as well as some vintage buses including double deckers from London, England!
