PLEASE READ: (lyrics below) - (categories for contest - 4 of them- best ending/canceled series, effects, emotional, video) I was in the Moonlight mood and decided it time for another vid of this awesome couple. Since there were no song requests for this fandom (amazing, since there are for all others lol) I chose this one and am dedicating it to all the MickBeth lovers out there, who wished the show had never ended. A very cool song! Works for who they are. Lyrics follow their story -- (refresher to those who don't remember the scenes)- "hole in my head"- refers to her loss of memory but feeling she knows him (showing her first as a child, then as adult) -- "disappearing in plain sight"- her grief over losing her bf to death and her feelings of blame toward Mick that came from that. "No light, in your bright blue eyes"- no light and bright blue eyes both show scenes of Mick, often as a vampire, since his state of being symbolizes a creature of darkness/vampire. I show her with light, but trickling, as if she's uncertain about Mick/being with him. "But would you leave if I told you what I'd done, And would you leave me if I told you what I've become ..."- those scenes depict when a photographer was threatening/blackmailing her by saying he'd release pictures showing who Mick was (not human) when he was hit by a car that was aiming to run Beth down, and she brought Josef into it basically putting a hit out on the photographer, a huge thing for Beth and against her nature, but she did it out of love for Mick; For Mick, the lyrics show him not only telling her he's a vampire, but struggling with that issue throughout their relationship and the fear that he would hurt her, etc. The end shows that a revelation came and a resolution was at last reached between them. ;-) The rest of the lyrics and how they relate are pretty understandable, I think.
