Written and produced by Nile Rodgers
Having written for and produced artists such as Chic and Sister Sledge (with his partner, Bernard Edwards), Nile Rodgers released his first album as a solo artist in 1983. Titled, “Adventures In The Land Of The Good Grrove”, it was released on the Mirage label but didn’t chart. Two singles were released form the album, “Yum Yum” and “The Land Of The Good Groove” but neither made the Hot-100.
His next album was on Warners, “B-movie Matinee”, which yielded his only Hot-100 entry of the 80s, “Let’s Go Out Tonight”. During the decade he worked with Diana Ross, Madonna, David Bowie, Inxs and Duran Duran.
