"Nights on Broadway", by the Bee Gees, is a single release in 1975 from their Main Course album. The song reached the #7 spot on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 singles chart, giving the trio back-to-back (with Jive Talkin') top 10 hits for the first time in seven years since 1968. Formed in 1958 as a pop music group, the three brothers, Barry, Robin and Maurice Gibb were successful for most of their music career that included two distinct periods of exceptional success: as a pop music act in the late 1960's and early 1970's, and as major performers of the disco music era in the late 1970's. They wrote all of their own hits, and wrote and produced several major hits for other artists as well. The Bee Gees have sold more than 220 million records worldwide making them one of the world's best-selling music artists of all time. Despite popular belief, the Bee Gees name was not specifically a
reference to "Brothers Gibb". The band is probably the best example where three lead vocals might sing solo during a song. The Bee Gees were inducted into the R&R Hall of Fame.
