"Good Lovin'" was a #1 Billboard Hot 100 hit in 1966 for the New Jersey group initially known as The Young Rascals. The band was very successful between the years 1966 and 1968 reeling off nine singles reaching the top 20's on the chart as well. The Young Rascals heard the song, which was originally recorded in 1965 by a novelty/Doo-Wop group, so they followed it up with their own up-beat version adding the "One! Two! Three!". Although the group did not like the outcome, their producer loved it, and it was released and became a huge hit. Eventually, the band simply called themselves The Rascals. The group was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997, inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 2005, and the Hit Parade Hall of Fame in 2010.
