You might have been asking why there were no relevant KMS/KMST updates for so long. Well, most of the times the reason it happens is: they're working on something big!
That's right, Maplers.. a new big update is coming to MapleStory! It's called "You & I" (kind of an awkward name, but whatever).
Max perfectly explained its contents on his blog, so I won't explain to you in detail. Check out the link below for more information.
I'll focus on the most important parts:
- the fighting system in general (not the job-specific one) will be improved, with the addition of Elite Monsters, Elite Bosses, Rune System and more control, leading to more fun in hunting
- Mileage (a currency obtainable in game) will fully allow you to obtain Cash Items without paying, and it'll be more easily obtainable
- Level up system will be reorganized, and the experience curve will be changed again
- Equipment upgrading system update (less chance to destroy items, etc.)
- New forgotten (very likely Pirate) hero: Eunwol (english: Silver Moon?)
- New concept dungeon content
- World Transfer event
- Cash Item Share event (you'll be able to share all the cash items in the account between characters for a limited amount of time)
- Much importance given to user feedback for this and future updates
- Return to the "original" fun and simple feeling of Maple
And, even if they didn't mention it, I bet they've been working hard on 5th job (already confirmed by Nexon).. we might see it later next year.. I can't really wait!
