The Dimensional Library is a completely new type of theme dungeon for levels 100+ which was recently released on KMS. It's one of the most interesting pieces of content ever released, storyline-wise. It finally gives much more importance to the "Story" part of "Maple".
It consists of a "living" record of the main events that occurred in Maple World. It's just amazing.. we'll finally be able to put many pieces of the story together.
This is Chapter 1, and it's about the White Mage.. but.. who was he?
Well, he was a genius magician who studied light magic in Maple World. He was the founder of an organization, Aurora, which researches and protects the light, and, because of that, he got the title of Transcendence of Light.
It seems he was quite a lonely guy, always traveling and researching, seeking for more knowledge. Nothing wrong, until..
One day, his research showed him that he couldn't find the "ultimate light", but, instead, he could find the "ultimate darkness" (thanks Spadow).
So he decided to try taking the path of dark magic.. and that was his worst mistake. It led him to cast away light from his soul, and ultimately he got fully corrupted by the enormous power of darkness. That is the birth of Black Mage, the source of all the evil in Maple World.
That light which he casted away eventually became.. Luminous! That's why White Mage looked much like him!
Now, time for the comments on the video.
I really love this new way of making content. Everything is SO lively, and the new maps are just amazing. I love the use of voices (they also chose amazing korean voice actors, who can make great dramatic voices), and the whole story system.
I also love that, shortly before the end of each chapter, the DimensionLibrary BGM (I'll release a video with it and the others soon) plays and the screen moves to another side. It's just perfect! Their use of in-game mechanisms was great. Also, I loved the tempest after White Mage's transformation, the amazing BGM and the injured monks who gave that dramatic feeling to the scene..
I don't really know much about the encounter of the guy in the video (you?) with Black Mage. It seems that, at first, you encounter the light (which will become Luminous), and then Black Mage, who eventually attacks you.
Then a weird guy who seems to be injured appears, and you are blurred. Is that guy supposed to be you? A girl screaming eventually appears, trying to save him.. I highly doubt that is Lania and the injured guy is Luminous, so.. I really have no clue. They might as well be two adventurers, or I don't know.
In any case, that's all for Chapter One. I suggest you to watch the other two chapters, too!
