This commercial talks up technical improvements, including engine power, better interior and the availability of a quad cab. I can't remember the last time I saw an auto commercial where they didn't even drive the vehicle, but this is one.
Dodge had recently hit upon a bit of success with their front-end styling that made their trucks look like a semi cab.
The Dodge name has been dropped and new Ram trucks are just Ram trucks, not Dodge Ram trucks.
This spot aired during KRON's show "Sit Down with Gary Radnich" directly after the 5th game of the Baseball World Series on NBC on October 23rd, 1997.
