As the climate shifts, it’s more important than ever that we protect our diverse landscapes, wildlife, and natural resources.
Covering 12,000 hectares, the Seaford to Eastbourne Nature Recovery Project in East Sussex is doing just that by enhancing chalk grasslands which provide water for the local community, linking a mosaic of diverse habitats including rivers, woodland and chalk heath and supporting precious wildlife, like the wart-biter cricket, alongside food production.
Projects like this are playing an essential role in growing the national Nature Recovery Network, making our landscapes and water supplies more resilient to the impacts of climate change.
