While mono USB condenser microphones are quite popular, stereo models aren't nearly as abundant. I picked this model up because it does an excellent job recording high quality stereo audio in either 16 bit 44.1 or 48kHz, it has a three position attenuation switch to prevent over-modulation, and it requires no external preamp or power supply.
