Mouse P.I. For Hire is out today on Nintendo Switch 2 from developers Fumi Games and publishers PlaySide Studios, and this video covers the first 25 minutes of gameplay on launch day. Starting from the very beginning, this is a first look at one of the most visually distinctive games to land on Switch 2 in 2026.
Mouse P.I. For Hire is a boomer shooter inspired first person shooter set in a 1930s rubber hose cartoon world, following hardboiled mouse detective Jack Pepper as he investigates a missing persons case that spirals into a city wide conspiracy. The hand drawn black and white visuals, big band jazz soundtrack and noir detective story make it unlike anything else currently available on Nintendo Switch 2.
Gameplay blends investigation sections with fast paced combat, letting players wall-run, grapple hook and double jump through the city of Mouseburg while wielding a cartoon arsenal of firearms and gadgets. On Nintendo Switch 2 in docked performance mode the game runs at 1080p and 60fps, making it a smooth and visually striking experience.
