Disgaea Mayhem has a demo available on Nintendo Switch 2 ahead of its July 23rd 2026 launch, and this video tests the frame rate across all three demo stages in both performance modes using a custom frame rate analysis tool.

Disgaea Mayhem is a Musou style action spinoff of the Disgaea series from Nippon Ichi Software and NIS America, swapping the franchise's usual grid based strategy for fast paced real time combat as mercenary N.A. mows down hordes of enemies. The demo includes three stages, Prinny, Demon and Overlord, and this test covers each one in both the Quality and Performance modes.
The tool measures real framerate by detecting duplicate frames to calculate true FPS separately from the container rate, alongside per frame frametime data that reveals stuttering and inconsistencies that average FPS figures would otherwise hide. Both Quality and Performance modes target 60fps, but they deliver different results in practice across the three stages, and this test breaks down exactly how each mode holds up so you can decide which is the better way to play the demo.
