Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced offers three performance modes on PS5 Pro, and this video tests all of them across two scenarios using a custom frame rate analysis tool to find out how each one holds up.

The three modes tested are Fidelity with a 30fps cap, Balanced with a 40fps cap and Performance with a 60fps cap. Two scenarios are used to put them through their paces, exploring the streets of Nassau and open water Naval Combat, giving a look at both on foot and ship based performance. Each mode is shown separately in both scenarios, and each scenario also includes a three way side by side comparison so you can see the differences between all three modes directly.
The tool measures real framerate by detecting duplicate frames to calculate true FPS separately from the container rate, alongside per frame frametime data that reveals stuttering and inconsistencies that average FPS figures would otherwise hide. This is particularly useful for comparing capped modes like these, where frame pacing matters just as much as the raw frame rate number when deciding which mode feels best to play.
