The Moto Guzzi Lodola is a motorcycle built by the Moto Guzzi motorcycle company between 1956 and 1966, in the 175 and 235 cm³ versions. Not completely accepted by customers loyal to the L'Aquila brand due to its technical solutions that broke away from tradition, it was nevertheless a vehicle that stood out in numerous regularity competitions. The first version of the Lodola 175 had 9 HP with a compression ratio of 7.5:1 at 6000 rpm, which allowed it to reach 110 km/h, while the subsequent series, put into production in April 1958 and called Sport, thanks to the increase in compression (up to 9:1), it allows the delivery of 11 HP with a consequent increase in the maximum speed above 120 per hour; the Gran Turismo 235 also develops 11 HP at 6500 rpm, taking it to a maximum speed of 115 km/h. The 175 models used for regularity competitions weigh 107 kg and their engines release 12 HP at 7500 rpm, while the 235 pushrod and rocker arms, with an extra kilo of weight, have 12.5 HP at 6000 rpm/min, increased to 14 HP at 7500 rpm with the adoption of the single overhead camshaft; the latest version, the 250, can have 16 HP at 7500 rpm, with a compression ratio of 11:1.
